Does your car have the tranny safety switch?? As in, when you press the brake, the shifter clicks and releases the button. If so, check that.

Take socket out of housing,wedge something between the seat and brake pedal, check socket with test light. If it lights up, bulb shit the bed. If not, check the brake switch. But first check the fuse with a test light, sometimes they look good, but are actually crapped out. Good luck. As for...
