    air to air intercooler

before you put the bumper back on, test drive it. Make sure that the BOV is not open under boost. It should only open when you get off the throttle

a few pics from the Father's day meet at Lincoln Tech in Queens

It was a really nice day to take a drive plus can't beat free dyno pulls :D My car was first in line to go on the dyno and at about ~4700 rpms and 500rwhp or so something went crazy with the dyno's software and it shut off. They said that a fuse blew in the computers motherboard. They did get it...

    air to air intercooler

ok, that's good. it means that its not a machining problem it just a matter of getting the spring to work like it should

    air to air intercooler

can you push the valve open using your fingers? two coils should have been enough , but that spring does look big. it almost looks like a wastegate spring you can try cutting it a little more (you got nothing to lose at this point) or if you have access to a torch you can try heating the spring...

    air to air intercooler

it's not working right. it should open when you rev it and release the throttle. you need a new spring or you can try cutting the one you have and see if it helps before spending money on a new one.

(jugging by the thickness of the coil) I think that spring is too stiff. It looks like a 12psi spring. Do you know how much vacuum the car makes at idle?? You choose BOV spring based on how much vacuum the car pulls at idle, (at operating temperature)

    air to air intercooler

Where are you getting your vacuum signal from? Make sure the vacuum line is the proper size and that it is seeing good vacuum if that check out the spring could be too stiff. You can try cutting half or even a full coil on the spring to see if it helps, if its not enough you might have to get a...

Blow off valve is not supposed to open under boost. Only under vacuum

    air to air intercooler

make sure that all the clamps are tight (do not over tight them) look for leaks. Check the blowoff valve to see that it is not stuck open. Also make sure the spring in the blow off valve is not too soft and opening prematurely (this is rare, but possible)

    air to air intercooler

any line that sees vacuum is good for the blowoff valve as long as it is at least a ¼" id. Everything looks good so far. Don't forget to cap off the nipple on the bbk tube!

    Smoking issue

how long did you let the engine run for? white smoke is water/ or coolant, it could have been condensation in the exhaust from sitting so long

    air to air intercooler

do you think you have enough room for the "power pipe" to clear the tube that will be coming up thru the hole. BTW I personally think you are doing very well for someone who has not done this before (not that my opinion matters much :-D )
