    CAI tuning and Octane

gas grades work linearly too. so if you have 2 gallon of 87 in your tank and fill 13 gallons of 93, you will really have 92.2. if you try to fine tune your setup or add more timing make sure you wait to fill it with 93 twice to get most of the 87 out.

Best gears for Long Island Mustangs!

thanks, its come along way since i bought it (before pictures in the video, haha) i always wanted to put a cobra bumper and hood on it but all my money went into performance, lol. I just want to make sure though... you put "3:15's" as in a ratio. when ppl say 315's they mean 315 mm wide tires...

    Who's sprayed their 2v?????

ive been hearing around that you can can a nitrous system in NY but the bottle needs to be disconnected while you are driving or else if you are caught the police can impound your car. ^not sure about the hooked up thing, but i do know using it on the street is a huge no no... (and knowing me...

    Who's sprayed their 2v?????

ive heard good things about this kit: Harris Speed Works :: EFI Nitrous Kits :: Ford Vehicles :: Mustang :: Mustang '96 - '98 :: HSW Dry Nitrous Kits :: Sudden Impact Dry Nitrous Kit i was ordering this one day and canceled half way through because i remember i like messing around on the road...

Best gears for Long Island Mustangs!

you dont need new rims and tires when doing gears. Just something to correct the speedo. Of course with the older sn95s 94-98 you need to do a speedo/drive gear swap to correct the speedo. With 99-04 its electronic so a tuner will correct it.

Best gears for Long Island Mustangs!

oh no, not even close. I'm assuming your stock rims are 8 inch wide as my premium stockers were 17x8 all around. Even going with a 275 is pushing it with 8. Generally the safest and the best handling tire size to rim width is 245 on 8's 275 on 9's and 315 on 10.5's. thanks man, its a bit old...

Best gears for Long Island Mustangs!

sometimes with my 4.10s i start in 2nd and go striaght to 4th just to cut down on shifting because im lazy. However when you get on it they are well worth it. So it really depends on the person, ifs its a weekend car and sees NO SNOW (gears+wide tires+snow=zero traction btw lol) then do 4.10s...

    custom upper subframe connectors

Its pretty beastly in the corners now. I went over a speed bump angled and it was solid as a rock. With both upper and lower sub frames it makes a I beam in the chassis. Slow tight corners are awesome, it still leans but it just sticks instead of under-steering through the corner. Too bad its...

    custom upper subframe connectors

This project took a while, but was well worth it. The chassis is very stiff now:awesomework: The cutting is pretty striaght forward once you find the front subframes groove, they are 2 inches wide and with a 2 inch high beam they just above the height in front of the seats. The drivers seat fit...

    Any suggestions for a 99 V6

remember that sway bars are tuning tools not a band aid for handling. They should be done last to adjust for under/over steering. If you want to get into handling a bit a nice pair of full lenght subframe connectors are a must. The maximum motorsports ones are a very nice piece and you will feel...
