Thanks for the reply. I was thinking about going that way but wasnt sure if plastic filler was good for that application since it flexes but I guess the paint will flex with it.

I need to fill some body seams where there used to be lead. I dont want to use bondo, mostly because the stigma of old Mustangs that seem to trade their metal for bondo over the years until they are about 90% bondo, and partly because I have seen restored cars crack at the seams as the car...

If that Versailles rear is ready to go like my 9" I may be willing to trade. Its a Millermatic 140. Its great for the things I need to do like body panels, floors and custom suspension. I just set it to auto .024 and tweak the thickness knob and I get nice welds. Runs on 115 volts too...

I have a Ford 9" rear that measures 59 3/8" flange to flange. I think it came out of a 67+ Mustang. I believe the spring perches are correct but the width at the flanges is a little wider than the 65s. Anyone tried this set up or know someone that has? Will it fit in the quarters, fenders...
