Yeah, for whatever reason we don't see too many cars from the Syracuse area. I have to think that there would be quite a few there, but I only know of 1 or 2 members from that area that have been to a meet or cruise.

Well that blows. I'm not sure about the rods for a 351, but the 302 rods can take a good amount of power. The 302 block would split before the rods gave up. I'm thinking they are at least good to 550-600 hp. Car Craft did a turbo 351 last month I believe and they slapped a turbo on and pumped up...

Sean, it has a lot to do with the tune. I have no idea how the tuners are making it so cars can pass now, but some guys have went for new tunes and told the tuner about why they are failing, or what they are worried about, and they seem to fix it.

The R302 is a Ford racing block with splayed 4 bolt mains and the overall casting is thicker than the stock production one. No. It doesn't matter what power adder, or stroker kit, the most you can get out of the stock block before it splits is roughly 450 - 500 rwhp. The rods and crank will do nothing to extend the life of the block itself. It doesn't matter how you make the power, whether you are going with stock...
