Just pop the chip out and it would be ok, but is better off going with a 5spd computer since his car is 5spd already. Unless it was a auto swapped to a 5spd then it would be ok.

Exactly.... I've had 12-14 5.0's , 3 of which were 88's and they were the fastest. MAF is pointless until you get into heads/cam/etc.
