Ahhh just blow through carb it. Hahaha. :) It is ok to use a head gasket as a fuse as long as the fuse doesn't cause more damage when it goes. For example, crossfirung between cylinders and melting the head. Ouch.

Have you thought about an A1000 pump, reg and -10 line?

Most repair shops should be able to do it. I can change them in about 1 1/2 to 2 hours but I'm a 7 hour drive from you.
