Yes this is the same car. I was having fuel pump issues at the Mom's race, switched back to the A1000 and problem solved. Car really isn't worth alot, I would only take off $500 if you didn't want the car itself. It would take some work to take it apart.
Car is alot of fun but want to finish up my wagon. It's not pretty but it's funny waxing cars that think it's just an old POS. Everything on the car will bolt into a Fox chassis so it would make a decent swap car for a Mustang fan.
Selling my 1981 Ford Fairmont, I drive the car daily and it runs excellent. 10 hole wheels, fronts are 4" wide, 2 sets of rears, 1 with 225/75/15 street tires and 1 with 255/60/15 Mickey drag radials (15 passes). Stock shortblock 302 roller engine, Edelbrock Performer heads, Cobra 1.7 rockers...
Complete T5 swap for Mustang, pulled from 89GT. Trans, bell, fresh clutch, turned flywheel, block plate, stock shifter, pedals with stock quadrant, driveshaft, bolts. $400 or offer for it all.
I have a few parts left from a carb'd turbo blow thru car. Walbro 255 lph inline fuel pump, Mallory 4309 boost referenced return regulator and a Spectre Carb hat. Parts were lightly used on a Mercury Capri with a stock Explorer engine that went 7.40's in the 1/8mile. All in great shape, will not...
You will need a programable igntion box if you want to setup a timing curve. An MSD 6-BTM swill pull timing as boost comes up, about $370. Or a MSD digital 6 which is $300 but doesn't reference off boost but you can control it to pull a set amount of timing. Or you can lock the distributor and...
With a blow thru setup you almost have to lock the timing unless you have a high dollar MSD programable box. I usually ran 16-18 degrees locked with my blow thru setups. What distributor are you using? A factory TFI is the easiest to lock, but Duraspark or MSD can be done fairly easy. Once you...
