Yes this is the same car. I was having fuel pump issues at the Mom's race, switched back to the A1000 and problem solved. Car really isn't worth alot, I would only take off $500 if you didn't want the car itself. It would take some work to take it apart.

Throw the gaskets in the trash and use a thin coat Permatex Ultra Copper. I haven't run a header gasket it about 8 years.

You will have to lock the distributor because the MSD6al2 won't pull timing. Lock it out and set the timing at 16 degrees to start with.

Carb is built using the Hangar 18 mods. Nitrophyl floats, .120 needle/seat, jet extensions, choke tower cut off.

You will need a programable igntion box if you want to setup a timing curve. An MSD 6-BTM swill pull timing as boost comes up, about $370. Or a MSD digital 6 which is $300 but doesn't reference off boost but you can control it to pull a set amount of timing. Or you can lock the distributor and...

If you google the part number on the distributor you can find instructions on how to lock the mechanical advance out.

With a blow thru setup you almost have to lock the timing unless you have a high dollar MSD programable box. I usually ran 16-18 degrees locked with my blow thru setups. What distributor are you using? A factory TFI is the easiest to lock, but Duraspark or MSD can be done fairly easy. Once you...
