You do not need to wear a helmet, but they "pace" the cars at 55 MPH. Take that with a grain of salt, because if you ask a lot of guys on here who have done it they have done well over that.

If you have or know some one who has iRacing or Rfactor racing sim/s you can do some virtual laps around WG. iRacing even has the FR500 Mustang to use.

I have windshield wipers but a total of 8 1/2 hrs driving to get there & back is to much to be confined to the car w/ 3 kids for entire day.
Im going to pass it it dosnt look better by Fri.

I will be there rain or shine. Are you all still meeting at the Walmart lot in Watkins? Btw, did this in '10 with good weather. I hit 120 on the front stretch. We just have to work together and hang back before the corner, hit the apex, downshift and BOOM! Catch me if you can .

darn...I can't have that. It's bad enough air or direct sunlight hits the car. haha. I think for one day out of the year I will chance driving the car in the rain. After living down there for a bit, I've seen the village have a down pour and the track be sunny with blue skys.

I am on the fence....Its going to suck to be stuck inside the car. I would have liked to hang out and walk around and meet a lot of people. A lot of folks are going to completely not show up because of the washed-out weekend.

It's still a good time, and I am going. I never drive the car in the rain, but The Glen is awesome. Lets have a good showing. Cledus, I'm in. Also, what route do you Rochester guys want to take? 90 to 14 or want to take 96 out to County Rt 6(I believe) and then catch 14 down the lake?
