Also consider the price difference of a pony pack vs base- if theres a 1500-2k difference in similar cars, get the base. you could upgrade to PP swaybars, and a set of better aftermarket springs/shocks for less then that. after that, the only real difference would be the spoiler, tribars, and the grill.

From what I'm seeing so far, not a whole lot of pony package cars around me. Plenty of regular V6's, most are not premium package, doesn't bother me anyway. The pony package cars I'm seeing are relatively close in price to regular cars but you know how it goes, guys put thousands of dollars into their cars then think they'll get it back.

I have an 07 V6 pony Package, its at 25,500 miles and still working like new. I haven't come across any issues or faults with my car, not even leaks. Only problem I noticed was during the winter when it's below 20, there is a chance one of your taillight bulbs will die, So far I had 2 die from this, over a period of 4 years, I bought my car brand new in 2007. The car handles well, better then my old 3 series, and its tough as hell as i've sent it into 2 ft deep potholes, and even had the rockers clip a curb in a parking lot, tearing the curb apart... I'll be honest that I don't go easy on my car, but it takes it well and any other car would probably have exploded, like my last 2 cars. Someone mentioned the ambient lights, those were first on Mustangs in 2008. If you're worried about reliability, I would look at an 08 / 09, Ford offers an amazing extended warranty. I'm happy with my 6, and unfortunately its a bit of a financial stretch for the V6, so V8 has been out of the question but for now I don't mind.
Seriously ... If you feel so strongly stay out of the V6 section ... you show your ignorance in these posts ... well Resvon .. not only in this post but that is a different story
I LOVE my 07 PP ... the 6 is not as horribly under powered as I had heard ... I am a tad over 60K ... I am having Clutch issues currently but am not sure that it cant be blamed on the PO and a poor quality aftermarket TO bearing ... I've had alot of cars and this ranks in the top 3 or 4
