Tire and wheel Question

Hello, I have a 90 gt with an ebach spring kit. I have purchased a set of 17x9 wheels and Im looking for some help with tire sizes? I talked to Discount tire today and they said a 17x9 in the front is going to rub? anyone else have this problem and what sizes should I go? I was thinking 235/45 and 255/40 in rear?

on the front with the 235/45 on a 9 inch rim it will fit however the tire will look stretched but it will work and the 255 on the rear is good
