Hello everyone I have a strange problem that doesn't make sense to anyone I've talked to yet. Maybe someone here can help. My cars a 90lx with 80,000 on it. Its the original t5 that came with the car but its been rebuilt 2 times over the years. When I bought the car it was run low on trans fluid so it would grind some of the gears. I had it rebuild but I still had some problems with it. I drove it the way it was and years later had it rebuild by a ford trans guy. He did it on the side for me while he was working at the dealership. It worked great but reverse would still need a extra push to get it out sometimes. The problem I'm having now is one it get into reverse I doesn't come out. It dosen't matter if the cars running or not. I've had to put my foot on the shifter to push it out sometimes because its so tight. I replaced the shifter and its the same problem. I pulled the trans and opened it up. Looks like brand new in sides. Sense the rebuild I may have 5,000 on it. It shifts great in every gear goes into reverse everytime smooth it just doesn't want to come out. If anyone has any Ideas please let me know. I did pickup up a extra top cover with the forks and rod its used but I thinking that could be the problem. I havn't installed it yet.
