All your comments have been really relevant, obviously like most of us cost is a major factor but how much more do you think it would be? I like to think outside of the box on occasion because you never where it might lead you. I tend toward trying to get the best of both worlds whenever possible and the thought of the new 5.0 in the 05-09 body really seemed interesting. I have no idea on the cost effectivness of an engine swap compared to a S/C but it sounds like you guys think that a S/C would be much cheaper, especially when compared to the gains. I tend to agree w/ you but how much cheaper? A 400hp naturally aspirated, more durable w/ that much more potential whose wt. distribution improves my handling for as of now an undetermined cost over and above a S/C are answers I would like to have.
Just knowing if its a possibility would be good to have on the back burner because your comments on Hp never being enough are certainly true and you never know what may happen in the future. Right now my stang is my daily driver but some of my future wants would be to drive it in some road races along the lines of the Mustang challenge cup and races of that type. Are most road race cars S/C or naturally aspirated? IDK
So, what needs to be determined if it is even possible? What are the realistic costs of doing something like that? You guys are what make this my only Mustang forum, thanks.
