We were anxious to see what the various customizers would do with the new Mustang EcoBoost, and the Plymouth, MI based MRT obliged with their orange and black beauty. The color scheme has become the traditional livery for the shop, who last displayed a Mustang at SEMA in 2011.
The aftermarket performance potential of the 2.3-liter EcoBoost engine is still an unknown, but MRT have already modified the four-cylinder quite a bit. A Vortech air-to-air intercooler, MRT stainless steel downpipe, JMS boost control and an SCT tune should boost the horsepower significantly, although MRT didn’t release any specific numbers.
The*aggressive stance of the MRT Ecoboost Mustang comes courtesy of an AirLift suspension system as well as a carbon fiber front splitter and custom vented hood. The Forgiato 20-inch wheels are painted to match the car and wrapped with BFG Rival tires, which hide upgraded 6-piston brakes.
