Plane landing in St. Maarten

From what I read, the landing strip is short, so the planes have to come in low.

Haha I've been to st. Martin on a cruise once but never got to see this! Dammit!!

That beach is the best place for plane spotting. Actually that 747 did an early landing(he landed before the runaway--into the emergency safety zone threshold of the runaway)

My Wife and I went there in 05 when we first started dating. It is absolutely beautiful! They were constructing that runway when we visited. Prior to the completion of the bigger runway we had to fly in a puddle jumper from San Juan Puerto Rico to St. Maarten. Don't knock it till you try it. I've been to a lot of places, and St. Maarten remains one of the top 5!! Now you can go there on a direct flight out of Jersey
