........ sigh .... TRUST me I want the pics as bad as you do !!!
Update: Ken was getting ready to get the car running again ... removed the piston and rod ..... found a crack in the cylinder wall
... He thinks it MAY have been there for a little while :idk: ... on the up side he said he has another engine that he thinks is good ... he's going to swap my CAM into it get it together and put it in the car for like $400 or $500 ...

OK so I talked to Ken again ... First off ... an Email from this weekend
" I do also want you to know that I think this problem is a blessing in disguise. I have found wile tearing do your motor, other problems and things that I think would bring you problems down the road.
What I am doing is not installing a used motor, but am building you another one. I am using a used Feb. 22 1972 block and pistons and rings, but have installed your cut crank and bearings. I have also installed your oil pump, cam and lifters and the other new stuff you had in your last motor. I am however installing new gaskets and seals. I expect to have this all done and car running tomorrow as all I have left to do is install the heads I built and your intake."
... the problems included some "aluminum chips" in the 1st 2 cylinders on the right side of the engine ... I guess this thing was about to let go :idk: ... also where the clutch cable went through the headers is starting to melt and a couple of BONE HEADED things that I prolly did (didn't do) during the rebuild last year ... ok so after a phone convo on the way home yesterday and a chat session last night while watching the Tostitos Bowl ... All he has left on the engine is putting the intake on today ... and figuring out the clutch cable ... and she should roar back to life ... I also bugged him again about the pics so ... we will see !! ... He also wants to still try to get the car out by the end of this week if not then probably the middle of next week.

OK ... UPDATE ALERT:
Just talked to Ken ... Franki's ALIVE !!!! He's got the "new" engine in and fired up ... drove her out of the shop "to get some sun" !!!! YAY ... there are a lot of little detail things that he pointed out that I never figured were bad (solder-less crimped connectors and such) ... thats minor stuff that I can get figured out later.
