FYI--Crossgates is a very busy mall and that is a very busy area of the parking lot. I'm gonna say it will be difficult to get any kind of line up there or just gather the cars together. That area of the lot is always full especially on the weekend. Your best bet is on the complete opposite corner of the mall where there is less traffic, and much more parking space available(not too many people park over there. There is even a satellite lot on the other side too. I'll try to find a map to show you the area I am talking about.
The area in the box in the attached thumbnail is where you probably would be able to organize and lineup cars, vs the other area you will be fighting for scattered parking.
I didn't think the original spot was too bad but I don't exactly hang out at crossgates It seems to be pretty open there?. I always thought the best buy pizza uno side was busiest.
That spot was chosen for the easy access off and on to the expressway to our final destination. With the PMs I have been getting about people bailing out, I am sure we should be ok. Thanks for the heads up.
I am sure that blwn93gt will make a decision about moving any meeting point if the situation presents itself.
Plus, I don't think Forever 21 and JCPenney will have some killer door buster which would fill the entire parking lot where we will be.......then again, who knows?
Ugh, ok... Well let's hope it's not a problem for some folks to have to pay. Is the plan to stay on the mountain for a while, or just shoot in and out after pictures?
I go up to lake George at least once a year. Not going to be able to make the cruise unfortunately.
The booth for prospect mtn is about a 1/4 mile in off of rt9 .
Highly recommend taking the bus from the upper parking lot to the very top. Last time up in June I talked my family into walking the last 1/4 mile or so instead of taking the bus provided.
That was a hike. It was akso like 90 out.
It is beautiful up there, hope everyone has fun.
Just a friendly reminder for those going. Check the oil, tire pressure, fill the tank, bring cameras, walki-talkies, snacks for the road trip. Looking forward to an enjoyable and safe super cruise.
