New owner, couple questions

Hey everyone. I'm a new 2012 5.0 owner but not new to mustangs. This is my third stang, with my 1966 that i still own and a 2003 droptop gt that i sold.

The car is black/saddle with the premium and comfort packages. Already having tons of fun in it.

I've heard a lot about tunes for the car, and am thinking my best first step would be a CAI along with a tune, as this seems like a fair first mod. What are everyone's results with the SCT x3 tune and say, a K&N intake? I figure that this setup should be common for a lot of new owners.

After i do these mods (along with window tints and a new shifter) i'll be looking into springs. What springs give a moderate drop (not looking for a race-style drop) that saves ride comfort? Along with this, let me hear your opinions on a catback exhaust, as that mod will probably come after the springs.

Ford Racing has some nice stuff. They have a suspension kit that lowers the care just a bit. It is ~$1000. I saw a carwith it at a Ford display at the Woodward Dream Cruise last year. I like it.
They have also come out with mufflers for the GT. They hae 3 different sound levels. When I spoke with the Ford Racing guy he said they were making sure there would be no drone inside the car. I'm waiting to see what they come up with for my V6.
I also talked with him about cold air kit and tune, and he said to not bother (not sure if that applies to the GT though). With new V6, I would not notice the difference. The prior V6 you would, but not the 2011.

A tune is a good choice plus if u go through american muscle usually you get free tunes for life (helps with later ad ons) exhaust borla or ford racing same thing just different writing on the tips, cold air you shouldnt need a tune with a k&n but would need it for a c&l or air-raid perfer the airraid lowering def. Ford racing kit. Good luck with your new project lol

Steeda CAI and tune is a great way to start. I would also agree FRPP springs/suspension would be a great way to go along with C.H.E. chassis bracing like control arms etc..

what about going with a company like eibach or H&R for the springs. I see that americanmuscle has a sale for 219 for eibachs, which isn't a bad price at all.

They are both good companies for springs and lowering your car. The Ford Racing K springs are cheaper and I have been noticing a bit more popular than the Eibachs or H&R setups ... Dont forget we get a NYM discount with American Muscle

what are everyones opinions on the P versus K springs. Are the Ksprings really that much more aggressive? This will be used for a primarily street car with maybe one track day per year. Also, I will be needing new upper strut mounts and dampers with these springs, correct?

I have tried several tunes and run an Airaid CAI. Best tune i have tried is the Lund tune. Car runs like a beast. Most of the others tunes are very close but UPR and VMP are also very good.
