Hi all,
Very exited to have picked up a 1970 mach 1 a favorite of mine since I was a kid. Needs some work , looking forward to picking the brains of other more experienced owners.

Specs: 351 c , 4v
Original grabber blue re-painted black (not very well. But looks good from about 10 feet.) Orig . Automatic was changed to 4 speed

Currently having brake light issues
Previous owner changed out the rear brake lights to led.
Lights work intermittently when brake is held down it dims and fads out.
So I'm thinking first to change out the brake switch, seems a little tight anyone have any experience with this

Welcome. I do not have experience with that year. But I believe the switch is attached to the pedal somehow. Does the pedal fade as you hold it? If so, then made just a minor adjustment is needed. LEDs shouldn't draw too much power, so if they light up they shouldn't have a problem staying lit. Unless for some reason they are connected directly to the battery or alternator; and maybe the alt cannot keep up with the draw.

Score another one for the 70 Mach 1 club! Wish you guys lived closer to upstate, must be a good source for classics in the city?
