Hello Folks.. I'm brand new to this forum & this type of toy. Previously I played with Middle 50's Ford F100's. Some years ago I near threw away my tool box when they took ignition points out of cars... I know little about computer controlled engines and modern electrics in modern cars.. I just purchsed a 94 GT/5.0 Really impressive... My first issue is the windshield wipers. Wipers go on for a few strokes when you press the window washer feature. Time delay, fast or slow speed engaged and nothing happens. Anyone have any hints/been down this road before? & I'll bet your gonna tell me it's no small task to get to the wiper motor...?

When I turn on the wipers nothing happens. Turn to time delay/no wiper movement. Turn to slow speed/no wiper movement. Turn to High Speed/no wiper movement. Hit the momentary window wash button & washer motor squirts and wipers make several passes as they should when you hit wash and then the blades go back to parked position as they should....
The guys who built the car were focused on SPEEEED.. They took out all non essentials- Console, A/C , Cruise control, carpet from the trunk, anything they could think of. One fella suggests when they pulled the cruise control I lost the ground on the wiper motor... OK, thats one thing to look at. I'm still trolling for other ideas though....

Well, time restraints have not allowed me to work on the car/check out anything. New wrinkle that is ammussing & baffling. I forgot to turn the wipers off when I played with them last. Made a left hand turn/turned on the turn signal and the wipers took off on high speed. On further playing I figured out that if you have the wipers on slow sleed & turn on the right turn signal, wipers work on slow. If you turn on left turn signal, wipers if set to high speed wil turn on. Turn signals work just fine.. It seems now it is either the ground or the switch. Once I get it figured out I'll post what I found
Well....The majority was right. It was the Switch. $40 through the magic of E-Bay including the knobs & shaft wired in. Just the 2 Torx screws & plug it in & go...
I do not currently need an performance parts but thanks for asking. The Engine was Dyno'ed at 400HP before they put it in the car..and the previous owner set the car up pretty good to carry the motor.. I don't think I need to go any faster...
Previous owner TOTALLY focussed on speed/performance. Threw out anying that added weight. Console, trunk carpet, anything. Have found most of the creature comfort stuff on E-Bay & either have it back on the car or have it in the mail. One last thing haunts me. The wheels... Factory black said by seller to be Cobra Wheels then another guy looked at'em & said year 2000ish GT wheels. Seller did'nt like the black on the red car either but said these wheels were the lightest Ford used & that was the reason he sought them out. How true that story is I don't know
but I'm just looking at this point to find a set of used 17" silver wheels.
