need help with a 5.4 misfire code

i have a 2004 f250 with a 5.4 the engine light came on and misfire cly 4 on 1000 rev code came up. changed the coil pack same thing pulled the plug and it was dry changed the injector same thing .the truck has 106,000 on it . i picked up a fuel filter but i don't really believe thats the probelm but it probably needs it anyway . any ideas ?

check the compression

+1 on a compression or leak down test. Rule out the the 3, compression, spark and fuel.
BTW, did you put a new spark plug in?

ok i did the compression test 120lbs so i started unplugging injectors found cly#7 dead pulled coil pack and it and the hole full of anti freeze. so i guess the next step is to pull the intake and change the gasket ?

my car started throwing the codes too, first misfire in cyl 4 along with RPM/VSS limit reached.
reset the codes they came up about 3 days later, reset it again then a got the same RPM/VSS limit reached along with multiple random missfire. i last reset it about a week ago and never got them back. the car works completely fine tho
