I loved the wood grain look on the mustang. It really makes it look more of a classic on the inside with it. I also vinyl wrapped the rear panels, installed 3 point seatbelts and made custom inserts to match the wood grain on the front doors. I feel it brings it all together.
On another forum someone gave me the email address to an editor at MM&FF and sent him a few pics of my car. He wrote back and said they only feature late model mustangs but sent my information to his friend at MM&F and he contacted me a few weeks later and set me up the photographer and emailed me the forms I had to fill out.
A few people I talked to said they got in magazines by going to Carisle. While they were there the magazine people would tell them to park in a different location to take pics and get their information right there. There aren't many mustang magazines out there and there's even lezs for classics.

Lol its funny you say that. Me and the wife just went to a show and she saw a 66 ford mustang ranchero (fords version of an el camino) and feel in love with it. She is already looking up interior colors and paint schemes she likes. Guess we found our next project already.....

the 66 ranchero's going to be a completely different kind of build though, parts aren't as easy to find for them as it is for the mustang so make sure to find a nice one to start with, but thats just my two cents.
