centri- no boost down low, builds up high. runs better at high RPM

Roots/TS- instant boost, ton of torque. not as efficient at the top, but lots of fun in the low range

Pretty much said it..

Centrifugal(vortech, procharger, etc.): Linear boost = PSI raises equally with RPM

Positive displacement(whipple, kenne bell, magnacharger, etc.) : Instant boost = Nearly instant PSI at throttle

Turbo = exponential boost = PSI rises exponentially(duh)

A bit more but more possible power if needed!

It's not that S/C is the way to go if you have money to blow immediately, but it's the best way to go if your looking for terrific HP/TQ gains, economically. With a safe tune, you'll be able to handle 400rwhp easy, no ifs ands or buts. You won't be near that if you keep the stock block, and go N/A with HCI.

My plans for this spring, besides finally installing my gears ...

MMR Stage II heads w/PI cams
PI intake
SCT X3 tuner
new clutch & timing chain set

smoked headlights
smoked fogs
chin spoiler
bumper inserts
shorty antenna
billet grille

I was going to buy MMR's stroked, forged short-block and the heads but I couldn't sell the idea to the wifey. Besides that, my car just hit 100K. It's a little soon for a new motor. So just the top half this winter, try to get the short-block next winter.

Hell, just the tuner, clutch and timing chain set steps over the $1K mark.

Anyone know of any lowering springs that won't require cc plates but are still worth buying and installing, looks wise?

i think lowering springs dont require cc plates, but it is recommended if u lower 2" or more

but the shorty antenna is hot bro. each time i see a new edge with the stock 1, i feel like throwin up! its too long!!! (no homo)
