yeah, the thing is that, yes the wait in the engine bay is hotter, but the piping is shorter, so more air is pushed though. if u get it from the wheel well, its cooler, but has to travel further. so im not sure which is the way to go. as for coil packs, they xfer power from the batt to where they need to go, usually faster and with less resistance. they add anywhere between 10-35hp

Yeah, never go with 18's on a new edge, especially if you live in the city, you will always scrape the tire and it will get chewed up so you'll end up with having to roll the fenders. not to mention the addition of extra weight, 17" for sure.

18's look great on a new edge. Ive NEVER heard of anyone having to roll the fenders just for that reason, unless they are dropped over 3" or running 335+. plus this just looks awesome...

I have also heard that the headers on a new edge 2v are not worth the money for power that you gain for the install....:idk:

depends on your future mods. But IMO, I'd put that money towards getting gears done.

not necessarily. SC kills the need for the CAI. youll want some gears to keep you in the boost, and at least a catback wouldnt hurt. but you could throw a SC on a stock car if you wanted, and with that alone youll be over 325.

Lowering springs + 18" on new edge = tire scraping on highway bumps. Use to happen to me all the time and happens to glenn's cobra.

It's even worse if you have anyone sit in the back, tire will be chewed up in no time

Nope, stiff springs. I had the sportline then switched to roush springs. same shit. glenn has H&R. it happens all the time with 18"

you guys need to remember to factor in tire width and sidewall, as well as deviation within the different manufacturers.


Tbapp's MT's run large in all ways compared to my sumi's, or tims nittos or Matts BFG's. that has part to do with it, as well as the wear of bushings, how the rearend sits(not always dead center- some factory cars can be up to .5" or more to eitehr side) that can help determine if it will rub, when, and where.


for reference, Tim and I are both running 315/35/17s and have never rubbed. he's on a prokit, and Im stock(like Tbapp)

Nope you don't need non of that shit..Throw a set of 4:10's and a centrifugal blower and your good to go...320 hp on a 2v vert is going to get boring real quick,especially when the car sounds like a monster but runs like a turtle

WOoo.. I dont have 17s out back....there 18-10.5......The tire size is what I needed to check and it is.....28x12.00R18LT O.D=28.0 Tread width = 10.6
Those are the numbers out of the Summit Catalog that I ordered theme from....I didnt know exactly what numbers to put down....But I 100% have 18in. rims on the back! And I would also suggest 17s! The 18s do look NASTY though!
