I only got 1 flu shot in my entire life, and that was a year ago. What happened? I got the flu, A SEVERE CASE OF IT a 3-4 weeks after it. Sure, I had the worst of the symptoms for the first 2-3 days, recovered quick, and just had the sniffles and cough, but it was shitty. I get sick, maybe 1-2x a year, and the freakin Flu Shot gave it to me hard.

Your not making this easy to be serious about. But seriously, hearing this like this happening as a result, wouldn't you think the FDA would take a step back and do some more testing on it? This is a sad story though, the girl's entire life is now wrecked because of trying to be on the safe side and get the shot.:nono:

and the billions that have got the shot are fine?? I don't think one noted case of Dystonia after receiving a flu shot is reason enough to assume the flu shot is the culprit.

I partially agree with Jules. Why rule it the flu shot?? How do we know she didn't OD on drugs or something?? Anything can happen!!

On the other hand I don't take the flu shot and I would not recommend taking it

Dystonia is a neurological disorder (consider it faulty wiring). Whose to say had she got a tetanus shot the same thing would not have happened. Any injection into your body immediately causes your immune system to go, "Oh shit! We got something new here!! ATTACK!!!" Her body's over reaction to the flu shot MIGHT just pushed her systems over the edge but Dystonia just doesn't happen because of the flu shot.

No, and the story doesn't touch on that. However, each yearly batch of flu shot is a little different from the previous year's. Her case will probably be one of those that goes unsolved but 'they' want to point a finger at someone or something so the flu shot was put in the figurative cross hairs.

I'll never get a flu shot either. Besides a friends mom almost dieing from it, my mother has a friend that was a professional dancer - made her bread and butter dancing, a week after she got the flu shot she is paralyzed for life, from the shot
