How to remove tech wax?

I need to do a paint correction. The wax isn't coming off even with dawn. I assume they used tech wax but thats another story. What do I use to get this off of my car without destroying the paint? I am already aware dawn isn't good either. I just want to get this wax off of my car.

Polymer tech wax is nothing special in terms of protection, so the Dawn should remove it as well as an IPA wipedown if needed. Sometimes you may need to use a little all purpose cleaner or maybe even degreaser, (paint safe ones obviously) when you wash it to get a little more thorough clean up. Also, clay barring it will ensure everything is removed.

I don't know what it is then. I can see it ripple and appears to roll off but it isn't budging. Even with repeated applications. They said they "did me a favor" and clay barred and waxed it for me. I can fix it but I gotta get the wax off so I can evaluate what really needs to be done.
