Depending on how bad the rust is, some fine (very fine) scotch brite and WD-40 works wonders... Also depending on where the rust is, too. minor surface rust on the head should not be a problem... If there is any pitting on the gasket surface, it will need to be cut. I have a local guy here that is dirt cheap...
As long as your motor is sound, it will really like the triples. I would also put on a header and dual exhaust. A header is not cheap though (~$400), that's why I made my own.
My motor is going in tomorrow. Not sure if I'll get it running, but it will at least be in with a spotless engine compartment...
