Help with ECM

i am doing a auto to manual swap. and i need help with the ECM. I know i have to buy a new one, and i have a sct xcal3 tune on the ecm i have now. I am told that i should take the tune off the ecm i have now and bring it to stock so i can plug it in the new one when i get it. Now idk how this whole thing works.

what do i have to do after i transfer ECM's. all i know is that i have to trailer it to ford and have them reprogam my keys to my new ecm. that is all i know about it

you will need a completely new tune. each ecm has its own 4 digit code that the tuner needs for the right set up.

so once i swap ECMs my tuner is shit. even tho i tuned it back to stock?

who set it up ? when i had mine done they needed the code. your tuner will be fine, just needs to be set to that code

all i did was plug my tuner in, changed the MAF to c&l and made it to 93 octane. thats all i changed

so pretty much, set it to stock, change tranny and ECM, bring it to ford, reprogram keys, the tune it back to C&L and 93 octane
