You say the car is just a street car, its better to install top end kits that does not say track on the description. If you install a track kit the car will not benefit on the street as much as on the track. Your best bet is to get a good proven combo of parts for the street that increases down low torque and power, not top end power at high rpms. Look to have a wider torque curve and power band that comes in before 5500 rpm, it will be more enjoyable around town. A few years back I had the trickflow stage 1 cam, twisted wedge heads, street intake backed with a t-5 and 3.73's and it was really fun to drive on the street. As for lifters go with Ford Racing hyd lifters, cheaper then other lifters of equal quality. Most people go carbed for the fact of ease of tuning it themselves, are able to get more radical combos to drive better and it costs less. Stick to a well matched street combo you can stay fuel injected if you can find a shop to tune your setup.
