im 34 and im currently stationed at Osan AB S. Korea. (USAF). i picked up my 97 Cobra vert 2 years ago. paid $10,600 for a 19,991 mile Cobra, it currently has about 42k on it. at the time, the only non OEM part on the car were the rear tires.
since ive owned the car, the only changes made have been the replacement ofthe a/c compressor which had failed seals, the air filter because the paper wore out, the windshield wipers because the rubber finally dry rotted, and the tires cause they dry rotted. the rest of the car is fine. it has some small rock chip on it...the steering wheel needs help and the drivers seat is starting to wear out but other than that, its great.
im not a big OEM kind guy or anything, just havent been able to mod the car at all cause im 6500 miles away from it. when i do, ill keep it simple. planned mods initially are: subframe connectors with seat brace, mgw shifter, and 4.10 gears in that order. after that, ill pick an exhaust that sounds nice and go with an X brace and top it all off with a vortech kit [42lb injectors, fuel pump, lightning maf] and get it tuned. my goal is a reliable 400whp car thats fun to drive. lol...oh. forgot. before the vortech, ill get rid of the 4x4 stance the car has with H&R vert springs and prolly bilsteins but i wont do that until the stock suspension wears out. waste of money otherwise imo.
so theres a lil bit about me and a lot about my car. btw, if anyone has 96-97 cobra center caps in good condition, send me a PM. i will pay WELL for them.
