FRPP pkgs worth it?

Has anyone had the different pkgs from FRPP installed on their S197? If so, what were they and in your opinion on whether or not they did what you expected, were they worth the money and where did you have the pkgs. installed? For example I read on one forum one member looking to convert his car into a Shelby GT using the FRPP catalog. What I'm trying to find out is if FRPP is worthy of my Stang or are the more focused aftermarket companies making better products and are the ones to purchase.

After market companies are where the performance and looks are at... Ford does not come close to lets say a griggs coilover system... But you pay to play..
If you want to look and be a baby shelby. Then go all ford... but for the monies you will shell out for a full ford set up "shocks, springs, front bumper, strut tower brace, shifter ect ect, you could have really hooked yourself up with some amazing things in the after market world... Steeda, BMR, Griggs, Hurst, ect ect are all great companies with better functioning pieces then Ford Racing...

p.s- Ford Racing hardly makes their own products. its just re-stamped aftermarket pieces half the time.

It's all individual... I find the older Modders lean towards the FRPP products and the youngsters go aftremarket... In my Bullitt, aftermarket I've got Magna-pack axlebacks, Steeda Delete Plates and Brenspeed Tune... FRPP are Hot Rod Cams, Jet Coated Shorty Headers, 4.10 rear, 1.5" lowering springs and more... But I'm not trying to make mine into a Shelby... Mine's nicer... LOL:headbang:

Great point guys with the FRPP stuff just being restamped sub-par other company's equipment. I agree that more for your money comes from the other companies, the problem is there is so much to choose from and you want it all to work well together. As for the baby Shelby, I might have to start to rethink that, one of the many beauties of the Mustang is it ability to be customized in so many ways because of the largest aftermarket following in American Muscle. The more I look at the Saleen shaker set up the more I think of S197 becoming a 69' 428 Cobra Jet, or Mach 1, restomods are my favorite and that was the biggest appeal about the 05-09, you had all the modern conveniences with the classic look. I appreciate all of your input. Let the modifying begin, when Tax return shows up and before the kids have to goto college...

American muscle is great and all but I am a very disciplined shopper...

I research all over... Look for coupons on forums then if I dont find the price I am looking for I search ebay. I contact the seller directly and make sure its the same item and buy from there...

Ebay is only bad if you dont do your research...
Used Items you can buy:
Delete plates
Exhaust
Long tube Headers
"Steeda" UDPS if they come with a new bolt...
Fuel Pumps
Springs
Injectors if slightly used but "beware"
Intakes but make sure filter is good, a good filter is 40-50 bills
Shifters
Dont buy fiberglass (bumpers or sideskirts) hoods are good.
rims ect ect ect

Just beware and always inspect before install even if its a brand new item....

frpp parts arent exactly sub par. i have the frpp stingers. they are just borla stingers that they stamped with the ford racing logos. so they are definitely worth it and they sound great. but as for their performaqnce packages dont bother. pm me with what your interests are and ill tell you where to find the best value

well it would never be a SHELBY just a wana be clone, kinda like being Irish those that are and those that wana be !!!!! lol. As for a baby SHELBY the SHELBY GT is really the only real SHELBY built and registered at SAI. Not an SVT lol.

As for Ford Racing Parts, I have the V6 Power Pack installed on my car and there is a noticable differance but the most important part was that it kept the warranty. That is the main reason why I got it in the first place. As for Ford parts check these out:

If Ford Racing isnt pulling wool over your eyes its a pretty darn good bang for your buck if your going into the N/A direction.

They will void the warranty but if it is something as simple as the power pack you can just go aftermarket since its simple to change back to stock but supercharger just do it through ford
