I changed the condensor this week I will pickup the compressor and the upper line thats missing where is the evap core located I was told it dries out over time or some thing
under the dash near the heater core..PITA to get to. you may need to split the case open to get to it. im not sure what years but i know on my 1990 i needed to split that black case thats under the dash to get to it and glue it back together. not sure about the drying out thing..its aluminum so i dont see how that would dry out??
make sure youve got the canister on the lines and you should be all set. depending on what year you may need the special fittings to hook up the r134 can to your a.c system
You need the liquid line(hard line that runs along the frame to the condenser) and the receiver(looks like a cylinder and mounts on the fire wall) You will also need the conversion fittings to use r134(usually come with a r134 charge kit). You need to test the evap core first. That is the 2 metal lines coming out of the passenger side firewall. Seal one side off and pressurize the other side with compressed air SLOWLY up to 100 psi. If it holds pressure it is good and you can just blow it out. If there is any dirt in there it will clog the orifice in the liquid line and the a/c will stop working. I wish I could help you but I cant even walk right now. Good luck.
