The last owner tried to use it as a bolt on, its a Harwood lift off, he broke the drivers side back, tried to fix it and put metal plates in to reinforce it and put the studs through the top of the hood, it looks ok, but i just ordered a Fiberglass lift off SUper Mach 1 hood from champion hoods, will have the hood on Friday
Pistons and everything showed up at Shawns on Friday, its going in tomorrow to get hot tanked, line bored and then everything will be installed and balanced at the engine shop, we should have it back in a week and be on the road for test and tunes by 10th of September, with the Nitto's, im hoping to pull some high 11's on just the engine, fingers crossed
He said it wont happen, he wont have it on the road till next year, he told me he has to work now to make his faster then mine, i laughed, he running a 347 stroker with a turbo, it better be faster, but i will be running a 306, just engine with around 600HP, we will see, when i go down to the test and tune i will shoot you an email to let you know when we are going, come down and join us, it will be a nice cruise.
Had a set back today, had it fired up and heard some ting's on the engine, come to find out the oil pump is bad, we pulled the engine and we are in the process of taking it apart to make sure there is no damage, might have it ready for MOM's, but not sure, if it is, i will run it just with street tires and will not launch it very hard, looking to get some low 12's on this build, it sounded mean as hell
