Clutch situation?!?!?!?

S I went to take my stang out yesterday........

I got in it and pushed the clutch in and it seems very stiff....Its harder than usual to push in, much harder...

But then it seemed to drive fine, besides the fact my leg was getting sore lol

Any idea what this would be?????

could be just the cable starting to seize up. try getting under it and unhooking the cable to see if it slides freely

First thing I would check is the clutch cable. are you still running the factory cable? or aftermarket?

I believe Im still using the factory cable....I did do a clutch right when I got the car but believe it was all replaced with stock parts....I wasnt as into it before so am not positive:smash: ( it was 3 years ago now also)

I was also thinking I would add in that this was the second time I went to drive my car this season so its been parked.....

But Ill try and take a look at the cable If I can figure it out and check back in...
Might need to grab one of those repair manuals cause Im not exactly sure If Ill be able to know witch is the clutch cable, just starting to get into the machanic side of things my self but I have been loving it!!!!

just jack up the front of the car and set it on jack stands. look by the trans, youll see the cable run to the tranny on the driver side. there will be a black metal cover covering the end of it. under the cover is the cable end. does it seem to release strong still?

you sure its not just that you havent driven it in a while? i know its always wierd for me the first few times i take mine out after the winter. my dd is a stick too but its got a hydraulic clutch so its nothing like a mustang clutch. good luck

yea Its definitely something....I still havint had a chance to get under it this weekend Ill have to for sure! I tryed to tell myself I was just being a goof but it is def. stiff! :nono:

I really dont know what to do with it..and am kinda scared to drive it cause I dont want to make it worse....

Maybe you could swing by my place some time and we could check it out....

SO I got out and went for a ride in it today....I think I was just being paranoid, It felt great...well the clutch felt a bit stiff but I think its just cause I got used to driving the gf's sixxer....:smash:
