As usual, nothing is easy. I finally started working on the door glass and what do I find? There is no bracket inside the doors to mount the bottom window stop. See the attached photo I found on the WEB. I looked all over and don't see this sold as a separate item. My doors must be after-market products. The seller told me most of what was replaced but I may have forgot. The photos he supplied from the body work don't appear to show new doors. The car sat unfinished, but covered, for a few years before I bought it. The doors are in very good shape. If I can get the brackets I don't want to weld them because the paint is finished and epoxying them would have them coming loose because of slamming the doors. My solution is to use stainless steel screws through the bottom where they won't be seen. If I have to fabricate these brackets my question is, Does the window normally hit this bottom stop or is it there as a precaution? I'll be guessing on the height above the bottom of the door. If anyone knows where to get these or has an old piece of a door for sale or can even take a measurement for me, I would be very appreciative. Thanks.
PS I should have added that this is a very early 65, August 6, 1964 on the door tag (06H).
