Any Tips for cleaning the RagTop?

I'd like to clean/detail Kim's Cobra before winter...What does everyone use to clean/treat the RagTop??

A camel hair brush to sweep away the loose crap. You really don't "wash" the top, you hose it off and use a soft brush on bird poo or sap.

After a rinsing and drying "air" or I use the leaf blower , I apply a small coat of scotch guard for fabric. It keeps lint and dust from sticking. USE AT YOUR OWN RISK!!!!!

You can use soap if you want, but really isn't necessary unless your top is vinyl.

Cloth top on the Cobra....I've heard Mother's sells a good cleaning product!

There are so many products out there Tim. I hav never had a problem with just the method I use, but there are cleaners out there that I am sure work just as good or better.

Jus keep in mind that it is cloth, so care for it like you would laundry, very careful.

I have the vinyl top and use this product they have a cleaner then every couple weeks I apply the guard on it.I have been happy with it but the car is garage kept and not a daily driver.Just what I use hope it helps you.

I can also attest that the 303 is by far the best stuff to use on a fabric or vinyl tops. I used this on Jen's car to get some of the stains out- Unfortunately only replacing the top will get all of them out because they have been there for so long but it works.

I have seen some tops that people have used since their cars were new and 10 years later the top still looks practically brand new with no fading.

I'm positive you'll have good luck with it, makes it look really nice too!!

Here is one other thing if you get lint on the top use duct tape to take it off

I use 303 aerospace on the fabric sail covers on my boat to clean and has a spf 40 rating too keep them from fading and keep the uv off my sails. Should work great for the fabric top on your cobra.

+1 on 303 it is the bomb - best you can use IMO

quick question... looks like some oil has dropped onto the rag top ( from the garage dooe opener)...any suggestions on how to attempt to remove

OK...so I did the 303 Top Cleaner & 303 Fabric Guard over the weekend & the car looks great!

Question: How often do you use the 303 cleaner? ...everytime you wash the car?

I use it on the sailboat once a month and my sail covers still look like brand new.
