89lx carb. idle issues from electric choke.

Got a holley double pumper with electric choke. Can I take off the module and convert it or no.

if you have all the parts then yes but its probably easier to just adjust it as its a matter of turning some screws.

Would you know exactly what to turn and how much?

theres no answer to how much you have to turn as every setup is different. but first you have to get the idle air screws set correctly then you can start by loosening the three screws that are around the choke housing and turning the housing in either direction to set the timing. youll notice some marks on the housing if you look. also there is a high idle cam that can be adjusted usually. I cant really tell you what to do since I have no idea what the problem is and how its acting. also make sure your keyed power and ground are working on the choke.

Well first how and wear does the electric choke wire up to?

the ground will be marked - on the choke and should go to any ground usually gets put on one of the screws on the choke housing, the positive also marked + on the housing gets put to a key activated power source so it turns on when and only when you turn the key on.

Well I called Holley and purchased a manual choke conversion kit I hope this works (I love holley). Hopefully this helps.
