Hi, I'm new to this whole domestic car. I always had imports. Mustangs were always my favorite muscle car. Now I'm lucky enough to own one. Anyway I just picked it up. Now the guy I bought it from gave me the car the bottom end of the motor is put together. But the car was carbed. He gave me everything to put the car together but not sure what I need. I have the heads, manifold, carburetor, and stuff. I need a fuel tank and other little things here and there. I herd there are problems with the cluster not working and other little things, I'm planning on usin the a/c and p/s. Anything difficult with that wiring wise? I know you guys are gunna say its been written up but I see the threads and everyone is arguing back and fourth. Need just info on all this. No b.s from ppl. Like I said I'm new to the muscle car world. Any help will be greatly appreciated.

Ity should be a very simple job to get up and running. You can basically ditch the efi harness and the ac would be easy to wire up. I have done this process very many times so if you are interested in having it done at a professional shop give me some pics and detailed info and I will get you a quote. If you want to do it yourself im sure we can all help you get through it.
idk to much about carbs, but i do have a 6-9 psi pump u can have if u need 1,its not the greatest but it works,,i used to run carb,,,carbs look alot nicer in the engine bay,like he said u can ditch the efi stuff,sell it if its together enuff,,aslong as its not a 4cyl swap the guage cluster will be fine,,i think youd just need to hook up the coil,p/s and a/c r easy ,r u running a 5spd or auto? be a good idea to get a nice gasket set if its apart if u didnt already get 1,,,how many miles on the motor?
