5.0 identification help and opinions please

Not at all familiar with 5.0 motors so I have a few questions
My buddy just pulled a 5.0 out of his early mustang.
It has EFI and the #'s are E6SE.
Is this a h.o roller motor ?
I am looking for a motor for another project of mine, nothing crazy just a nice street motor.
Is this a good motor to use or should I stay with the 289 I was planning on?

i'm almost positive all efi 5.0's are roller engines, except maybe for 85 efi with the tbi

Yes it's an HO with forged flat top pistons. It would be out of an '86 which is the 1st year of the 5.0 HO multi port fuel injection.

Depending on use, the earlier block may be better for you, but would have to use more expensive link bar roller lifters if you stay with a roller cam.
