3V will makes 300hp out in factory trim but can easliy make more BUT everything is computer controlled, that means tuning is very important, often you cannot slap on a mod and fell gains or the car run properly without a tune.
The 3V has VVT - pretty sophisticated stuff, especially when it comes to Mustangs, the cams can advance or retard depending on the situation to give you incredible fuel milage for the size and power output of the engine. Even with all the mods done to the car i STILL get 24mpg highway!
The S197 cars are built with better quality, especially when it comes to chassis stiffness and the interior, it is miles ahead of the New Edge. The S197 is also 7" longer in wheelbase and is several hundred lbs heavier but this lends to a more solid feeling ride. Dual airbags, Side airbags optional, best brakes on a stock Mustang GT to date.
The styling cues of the 05-09 cars cant be beat, the 2010 looks great and all (expect the rear) but the spirit of the original Msutang has been captured in the 05-09.
