I just acquired a cast iron toploader out of an old Granada to put behind my "hopped up six". It is a 3 speed overdrive unit. It is complete with the shifter, but the shifter is disassembled and I am looking for any info on how to put the linkage back together. It looks like it's all complete, 3 tabs to mount on the shift forks and 3 rods to attach the the shifter, just don't know what goes where.
It is different than a normal 4 speed as 3rd gear and OD gear are flipped as opposed the 3rd gear and 4th gear in a 4 speed. Also reverse is lift then to the left and forward as opposed to back in a normal 4 speed...
The OD trans should help with some of the road trips I plan to take.
Thanks
Tim
