6 grand for 6 months for a GT and 1500 every 6 months for a GT. Mind you this was coming from a 91 Ex Cop car Crown Vic with a 351W, and a 2003 Police Interceptor 4.6L 2V with no accidents or tickets on my licence. What pissed me off was 5 months after I got my car the insurance rate for a GT went from 6000 every 6 months to 1800 every 6 months :smash:

I should be back in a V8 very shortly though, hopefully by Carlisle by definitely before my birthday.

Can you say SVO........NEXT GENERATION. An ECOBOOST 4 SVO generation 6 Mustang with a performance upgrade package would be no laughing matter. The new 2015 GT500 will have the TQ numbers you want.:beer:

Hey now!!! I got 32 MPG on the way down to Carlisle the last 2 times :D

I will probably end up getting a Shelby to be honest :p

I am thinking of an 07-09 Black on black, tinted windows with some CV3's or SC5's and a KR Hood. Then some custom cams just for the lope when I get some money with a 2.9 Whipple with a SCJ TB and JLT Big Air CAI.

Had same experience with a friends 86. He traded it in as soon as he had the money to upgrade. Got a 89 lx 5.0 which at the time was a lighter gt with the same V8 engine. My Wife's mustang is similar.

Also consider all the haters like to compare their top of line v6 to the mustang v6. I enjoy reading how they get a loaded v6 to up the price to a gt range then compare a car with 50 more horse power than the v6. I know as all mustangs the v6 can be modifed and made much faster than stock. The haters like to pretend it can't.

I just hope ford don't drop the v6 when they have the 4 turbo version.

Dropping the v8 from the GT. Instead Ecoboost 4 and 6. V8 stays GT 500 turbo 8. This looks like the direction . The 5.0 initally in the GT but this will probably change later on. COBRA JET 2013 TWIN TURBO already. :beer:

Don't get me wrong. I feel if Ford drops the v8 it would be a disaster. I am just saying they should keep the v6 option as well. I give people of various makers with 4 turbo a hard time with my daily driver. Even my brother in law with a heavy foot gave up on a 4 turbo and bought a v6.

This is what annoys me with buying new cars. It seems to be all or nothing with options and they back you into an expensive corner. They know a LOT of people like the V8's so they will shift it into the more expensive GT500 or Cobra Jet. I have the Ecoboost V6 in my SHO and its fast but not the same as a V8. Some people want the gas mileage and I understand wanting the V6 for cost etc, but if they are still going to have a V8, why can't it be in the GT. So now if you have tons of people with GT500's, is it still the same? Paying a lot more and not having something a little unique from everyone else?

You just scored the TOUCHDOWN. This direction goes more high end. Mustang was never intended to become unaffordable. Those who cannot get the v8 in the non GT 500 may go elsewhere altogether. Its also rumored the all the historic Mustang designations may disappear as well. No GT designation ,BOSS ,BULITT, MACH etc.........Dare I say GT 500. New designations given. Not associated to the historic ones.:(:nono:
