At first the footage might not be too different from previous Mustang Cobra Jet videos – a nice burnout followed by a wheels-up launch – but the end shows the deployment of a parachute as the car flies through the finish line. The parachute is one of a few new features for the Cobra Jet for 2014 and an NHRA requirement for cars that have trap speeds higher than 150 mph. As we’ve seen previously, the Cobra Jet is more than capable of producing those kinds of numbers.
