OMG I love this car...
SMS Supercars launched a new and exciting version of the latest 2011 Ford Mustang GT last week at the company’s facility in Corona, California. Dubbed the 2011 SMS 302 Mustang, the car is the second in the trio of SMS Supercar products and will be followed by the launch of the 2011 SMS 620 Camaro later this year.
SMS Supercars will offer the car with two engine versions namely the SMS 302 4V and the SMS 302 SC. The former 302 4V will be aspirated to a 5.0-liter V-8 engine capable of producing more than 440 hp and 400 pound-feet of torque. Credit goes to an all-new four-valve head design, a high flow exhaust system, an optimized pulley drive system, premium fuel calibration and performance filtration. The Mustang will therefore accelerate from 0-60 mph in 4.5 seconds and manage a 13.5 quarter-mile time at a speed of 116 mph.
The SMS 302 SC on the other hand will produce over 535-hp and 450 lb-ft of torque with the use of SMS’s patent-pending 296 Supercharger System. Mated to a 6-speed automatic or a 6-Speed TR3650 manual, the SMS 302 SC will sprint from 0-60 in 4.3 seconds and will be capable of running a quarter mile in 12.1 seconds at 119 mph.
Other standard features include a new performance suspension system, Pirelli PZero tires covering 20 inch wheels, cross-drilled brakes and a custom bodykit. The interiors have been also given a special treatment with lots of leather and a two toned color scheme. The vehicles will also come with aluminum SMS door sill plates and embroidered floor mats.
SMS plans to bring a more powerfull version called the SMS 351X model soon with additional details to emerge in few months. The prices for the 2011 SMS 302 Mustangs starts at $54,990 and is expected to be available in dealerships in May.
