They make a windshield removal tool that hooks up to air hose and cuts the windshield sealant out. Even using the tool its very easy to break the windshield make sure you have an extra pair of hands to take it out. Slow and easy does it with this. I got new carpet for my mustang this Christmas, I was looking at one of my parts catalog and they recommend putting down carpet underlayment under the new carpet especially in the older cars.
