Don't rush your decision, the catback system is also a major factor for the sound. The midpipes changes the tone of the sound. The mufflers/catback are what changes the sound, if that makes sense. Both can be loud depending on type of catback and the exsistance of cats or not

Its all opinion, people prefer either one for the sound difference. H pipe has a deeper more muscle tone X pipe has more of an exotic tone

+1! I haven't heard many s197s that sound so good, the 3v is tricky to find the right sound, if I had one, that'd be my setup, turns out its pypes off road H pipe and FRPP Stinger mufflers :awesomework: I knew it had to be an H pipe!

This is one of the best sounding s197s I've heard, wonder what exhaust setup that is?
