What exactly is wrong with your transmission? I noticed you said it was whining in one of your posts. I'm assuming you're tried flushing your fluid?

Does it shift alright if you double-clutch? Perhaps the synchro is on its way out.

You're not using wheel spacers are you? When was the last time you had an alignment done? These could have an effect on your hubs as well.

You could also do a bounce test by pushing down on your front and rear of your car and see how much it bounces up and down. Then you can also get an idea of whether or not it's hitting the bump stops.

I feel like there's something else going on here though. He shouldn't be going through cables this quickly and having this many problems even if they aren't as good quality.

I really wish I had an SN95. If I were to get eve just a GT front bumper with fog lights for mine I'd probably be at around $400-$500. Also that blue Mach 1 looks awesome!
