Actually it looks like NYstang is correct. Just looked at some replacement Y-pipes on RockAuto and it looks like they have four cats. Either way I don't think there's a CEL on yet so I can wait it out a little bit.

Looking to buy a '96 V6 as a daily driver but it's going to need some new cats. I found an SLP high-flow cat kit on AM that includes two cats. Is that all that comes on this car or are there more than two?

I ended up going with the Eibach Pro-Kit for mine and I love these springs. I got the Tokico HP struts and shocks as well. Keep in mind when you change out the front struts or springs you will need new strut mounts or you can get caster/camber plates. With a mild drop that the Pro-Kit gives you...

It's really tough finding a 24-hour window of time in which I can't drive my car. I need to paint my calipers and put some DOT 4 brake fluid in but I'm not sure I'd be able to survive a day of not driving the Mustang.

Think I just found my DD. '96 Mustang V6 with 108k miles for $1800. Comes with a new set of snows. Only needs brake pads, new cat, and power steering pump. My only issue is that it's purple. I'd be driving around a dildo.
