I have the steel chrome inserts on mine and I think they look great! For yours though I think you should go with the black chrome. I think it will go better with your blacked out taillights.

CS3 is old, but it gets the job done. Photoshop magazine also has a lot of good tips!

That looks great, thanks Dave! Also, what was the program you said you use instead of Photoshop? I created my panorama using Photoshop CS3 and it wasn't too bad, it came out kind of funky though.
