I would assume that it would, because the interceptors used the mustang 4.6l engines in them. but I'm not 100% sure that it will be a bolt on swap. It would probably depend on the tranny your using.

wow, thats really good information ponyboy289, thank you. well you conviced me out of the 460 idea, lol. The car is originally a straight 6, so it has the 4 lugs (which has to go), but the original owner, whom I bought it from, put a 289 V8 in her. but he blew the plugs on the block, and says...

welcome to NYM, off road pipes are sick but they'll never pass inspection, so unless you can buy the inspection sticker some were, you should go H-pipe with high flow cats. I personally would go long tube headers aswell, if you have the money and patience to install them.

hey, awsome looking stang'. I'm also restoring a 66'. which looks to be real close to the condition yours was in. I was looking into buying an old 460 truck/car and using the rearend, tranny, and engine (modified). does anyone know if that would be easier then installing the explorer rearend...

i was told the governor on my car was set at 95. but Ive maxed out the speedo at over 120mph. so I know mine is either broken or off. yours might be the same
